AUGUST 4 - 5:30 to 9PM -  Louisiana Contemporary Exhibition at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art - two pieces from this project have been accepted and the opening night coincides with White Linen Night in the arts district of the CBD

AUGUST 23 - 5-7PM - Reynolds Ryan Gallery,  5333 Danneel St, Newman School -  thirty pieces will show at this event and will remain into early October

Welcome to my project "Caught on Tape! New Orleans Makes 300".  I've created over 60 pieces of tape art focused on the history of the city of New Orleans from 1718 to 2018.  Each composition is made of colored duct tape that has been sliced, diced, and manipulated on wood to create an image.  

​

This is both an art project and a history project,  and the ultimate aim of the exhibition is to highlight the remarkable people and events that have shaped New Orleans.  The timeline begins with the Native Americans living and trading on Bayou St John and goes on to portray scenes from each era of the city's history all the way to our most recent historic event:  the election of the city's first female mayor.
